Wayne Allen Stidum

Wayne Allen Stidum, 68 of Palestine, passed away on Thursday, October 9 at his home.

Wayne Allen Stidum was born on April 17, 1957, in Palestine, Arkansas, to the late Charley Lee Stidum and Odessia Shepperd-Stidum.

Wayne accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Palestine, where he was a lifelong member.

Wayne received his education from the Palestine Public School System. He was a proud member of the Palestine High School class of 1976.

Wayne enlisted into United States Army where her served for 2 years. He received an honorable discharge.

His parents: Charley Lee Stidum and Odessia Stidum, and two of his sisters: Mattie Stidum and Maxine Stidum all preceded Wayne in death.

Survivors are his brothers: Larry (Pauline) Stidum of Sanford, AZ; Danny Clay Stidum of Palestine, AR; Terry (Dora) Stidum of Cleveland, OH; Allen (Melcine) Stidum of Marianna, AR; sisters: Charlie Stidum-House, Norma Stidum-Gray, Dorothy Stidum, Pamela (Gordon) Stidum-McCoy all of Forrest City, AR, and Deborah Stidum of Palestine, AR.; uncle, Marvin Sheppard of Forrest City, AR., aunts, Alvernies Gribble and Mattie Sheppard both of Memphis, TN., and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held in Saturday evening, October 25 from 5 PM until 7 PM at C.J. Williams Funeral Directors Chapel, 124 South Main Avenue in Brinkley. Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon, October 26 at 2 PM at C.J. Williams Funeral Directors Chapel in Brinkley with Reverend Marcus Harris serving as eulogist. Interment will take place at Casteel Cemetery in Forrest City by C.J.
