Virginia Rose Fletcher

Virginia Rose Fletcher, 84 of Holly Grove Passed away on Friday, September 5 at Woodruff County Healthcare Center in McCrory.

Virginia was born on September 20, 1940 in Holly Grove, Arkansas to Richard Ratliff Sr. and Ada Mae Cox. She was the widow of Samuel "Sonny" Fletcher Jr.

Virginia was a member of First Baptist Church in Holly Grove for more than 15 years, where she was a member of the Mother Board. She was formerly a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church for many decades, where she sang in the choir.

Virginia recieved her early education from the Holly Grove Public School System.

Virginia was employed with Riceland Foods in Stuttgart for more than 28 years before retiring in 2002.

Her husband, her parents: Richard Ratliff Sr. and Ada Mae Cox; two brothers: Richard Ratliff Jr. and Ray Ratliff; and four sisters: Doris Wallace, Macolar Ratliff, Altha Jean "Betty" Brown and Rosemary Cartwright all preceded Virginia in death.

Survivors are: He son Antonio Fletcher Sr. of Brinkley, AR; four daughters: Linda (Charles) Henry of Little Rock, AR; Carlis (Shawn) Fletcher and Lucille (Ronnie) Pope both of Memphis, TN and Regina (Kenneth) Flenory of Chino, CA; Nineteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren; two brothers: Roy (Betty) Ratliff and Rogers Ratliff both of Holly Grove, AR; two sisters: Mildred Wright of North Little Rock, AR and Wilsie Smith of Holly Grove, AR; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 20 at 11 AM at First Baptist Church, 156 Mimosa Street in Holly Grove with Reverend Ronald Laurent serving as eulogist. Interment will be private.
