Tom Broadway Sr.

Tom Broadway Sr., 68, of Brinkley, passed away on Sunday, June 28, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.

Tom was born on June 20, 1958, in Moro, Arkansas to his parents Joe Broadway Sr. and Alfreida Howard-Broadway.

Tom received formal education at Brinkley Public Schools. He was a 1978 graduate of Brinkley High School.

While growing up in Brinkley, Tom accepted Christ as his lord and Savior. He and his family attended St. John Missionary Baptist Church.

As a young man Tom started out working as a cook for the Flames Restaurant in Brinkley. He then went on to work as a welder at a local Welding Shop in Brinkley for several years. Later, he went on the work for Jeff's Repairs as a mechanic for 8 years until he retired.

Tom's parents Joe Broadway Sr. and Alfreida Broadway; siblings: Joe Ella Broadway, Carolyn Broadway, Ray Broadway, and Oliver Broadway, all preceded him in death.

His survivors are his sons: Joe T. Broadway and Tom Broadway Jr. both of Brinkley, AR.; daughters: Jennifer Ellis of Tulsa, OK., and Alfreida Broadway of Brinkley, AR.; 12 grandchildren; his companion : Rosalie Taylor of Brinkley, AR; brothers: Joe (Candy) Broadway Jr., and Freddie Broadway both of Dallas, TX.; sisters: Cynthia (Anthony) Walton of Brinkley, AR., Marie Broadway and Audrey Broadway both of Dallas, TX., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 3rd at 3:00 PM at C.J. Williams Funeral Directors Chapel, 124 South Main Avenue in Brinkley. Interment will be private by: C.J.
