Theresa Brewer, 60 of Biscoe, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 13 at her home.
Theresa was born on May 12, 1965 in Chicago, Illinois, to Columbus C. Brewer and Mary Lee Geans-Brewer.
Theresa received her education from the Chicago and DeValls Bluff School systems. She attended Leaf Erickson Elementary School in Chicago and DeValls Bluff High School in DeValls Bluff, Arkansas.
Theresa or "Teeta" as she was affectionately known, was a member of Jordan River Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois. She had previously been a member United Baptist Church in Chicago, where she sang in the choir, was baptized in 1975 under the leadership of Reverend Wilson Daniels.
Theresa was employed as a Home Healthcare Aid. She worked private duty with her brother.
Her companion, Donnie Hampton Sr., Her parents: Columbus C. Brewer and Mary Lee Williams; maternal grandparents: Jessie Geans and Essie Mae Geans; and paternal grandparents: Elton Brewer and Dorothy Brewer all preceded Theresa in death.
Survivors are: Sons: Dearyl (Rosalyn) Brewer of Chicago, IL and Christopher Brewer of Biscoe, AR; her daughter Keanna (Andre) Gilmore of Chicago, IL; grandchildren: Kevin ( Ayana) Terry of Chicago, IL and Bryson Warner of Des Arc, AR; great grandchildren: Caleb Terry, King Terry, Andrew Terry and Anaya Terry all of Chicago, IL; special sons: Donnie Hampton Jr. and Cortez Hampton both of Chicago, IL a godson Antonio Pernell of Chicago, IL; brothers: Dwight Brewer of Biscoe, AR; Kardell Ward of Chicago, IL and Christopher D. (Ashley) Brewer Jr, of Dixon, IL; sisters: Barbara Bonds of Lonoke, AR; Alfreida Brewer of Chicago, IL and Sylvia (Marvin) Walker of Broadview, IL a godsister: Onone (Mark) Woodbury of Little Rock, AR and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday evening August 29 from 5 PM until 7 PM at C.J. Williams Funeral Directors Chapel. 124 South Main Avenue in Brinkley. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 30 at 2:30 PM at the DeValls Bluff High School Auditorium (Community Center), 710 East Sycamore Street in DeValls Bluff with Pastor Larry Jones serving as the eulogist. Interment will take place at Harrison Cemetery in Biscoe by C. J.
