Theado Anthany Turnage, 64 of Newport, formerly of Brinkley, passed away on Thursday, January 4 at his home.

Theado was born November 26, 1959 in Brinkley, Arkansas to Alex Turnage and Josephine Fennell.

"Ted" as Theado was affectionately known, attended the Brinkley Public School System. He was a 1978 graduate of Brinkley High School.

Ted was a lifelong member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Brinkley. He was well versed in the scripture and didn't mind discussing the Bible with family and friends.

Ted was employed as a Maintenance person for Steve Wilson Properties in Newport for several years. He was formerly employed with Jackson Port State Park in Newport.

His loving longtime companion Margaret Dinnwiddie; his parents: Josephine Fennell-White and Alex Turnage; two brothers: Arvell Bondon and Clarence Harris; two sisters: Carrie Harris-Hardin and Sarah Bondon-White all preceded Ted in death.

Survivors are: his son Eric Dinwiddie of Newport, AR; four brothers: Archie (Doris) Roark of Conway, AR; Leon (Janice) Harris of Brinkley, AR; Alfred (Patricia) Harris of Denver, CO; and Qdallas (Andrea) Whitaker Jr. of Knightdale, NC; five sisters: Regina Parker; Myra Harris-Hall and Floscine (Romey) Harris all of Brinkley AR; Brenda Woods-Patin of Inglewood, CA; Angela (Curtis) Draper of Monroe, AR; a sister in law Dorothy Harris of Cotton Plant, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon January 14 at 2:30 PM at First Missionary Baptist Church, 313 South New Orleans in Brinkley with Reverend Perry Byrd officiating. Interment will take place at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Brinkley by C.J.
