Sim Jackson Jr.

Sim Jackson Jr., 77, of Wheatley passed away on Thursday, June 19 at Hospice Home Care Center in Little Rock.

Sim was born on September 6, 1947 in Moro, Arkansas to Sim Jackson Sr. and Rosie Lee Jackson.

Sim attended Moro Public School System.

In his earlier years, Sim worked as a farmer for L.C. McCullum Farms, Bobby Ray Farms and Joe Dean Long Farms all of Moro. He also formerly worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad in Little Rock.

Sim was united in holy matrimony to Covellar Pruiett on March 17, 1968.

His parents Sim Jackson, Sr, and Rosie Jackson Shelton; his four siblings Lousie Jackson, Rowena Jackson, Verlene Jackson-Larry, and Isaiah Jackson all preceded Sim in death.

Survivors are his: wife of 57 years Covellar Jackson of Brinkley, AR; three sons: Wendell Jackson Sr and James Jackson Sr. both of Brinkley, AR and Fredricks (LaVern) Jackson of Beebe, AR; two daughters: Fleacha (Bryant) Watson of Wheatley, AR and Christy (Willie) Haskins of Barlett, TN; his additional children: Channell Scott, Brandon Scott, Simantha Scott, Terita Mobley, Nikos Palmer, Veronica Logan, Orlando Lodges, Partikerchin Wilkins and Derrick Ward; a host grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers: Leo (Andrea) Jackson of Newton, GA and Nathaniel Jackson of Orlando, FL; six sisters: Letha Jackson of Phoenix, AZ; Vickie (Benjamin) Jackson-Echols of Tampa, FL; Gardenia Jackson and Carolyn Jackson both of Hot Springs, AR; Georgia Mae Jackson and Annie Mae Jackson both of Chicago, IL, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday evening, June 27 from 6 PM until 8 PM at C.J. Williams Funeral Directors and Cremations Chapel, 124 South Main Avenue in Brinkley. Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon, June 28 at 2:00 PM at Wheatley Civic Center, 934 North 8th Street in Wheatley with Minister James Jackson Jr serving as the eulogist.
