Randy Lewis Akins

Randy Lewis Akins, 59 of Searcy, formerly of Augusta, passed away on Tuesday November 18, at his residence in Searcy.

"Skip" as Randy was lovingly known, was born on February 18, 1966 in Augusta, Arkansas to Robert Hardaway Sr. and Judy Akins.

Randy received his education from the Augusta public school district. He was a 1984 graduate of Augusta High School, where he participated in school extra-curricular activities like basketball and track.

After graduating high school, Randy went on to enlist into the United States Army, and he received an honorable discharged for his service.

Randy was a former employee of the Shulze & Burch Biscuit Company in Searcy for more than 5 years.

His mother Judy Akins- Bonaparte; siblings: Ricky Bonaparte and Darrell Bonaparte and a nephew, Mario Alcorn all preceded Randy in death.

Survivors are three sons: Randy Lewis Wynne of Kansas City, MO; Spencer Akins and Hunter Akins both of Beebe, AR; his father Robert Hardaway Sr. of Newport, AR; 4 grandchildren; seven brothers: Jody (Connie) Akins and Gerald Bonaparte both of Augusta, AR; Keith Bonaparte of Anderson, IN; Fredick (Melissa) Hardaway of Anoka, MN; Michael Hardaway, Tony (Danyelle) Hardaway and Robert Hardaway Jr. all of Newport, AR; four sister: Patricia (Alvin) Alcorn of Diaz, AR; Vanessa Hardaway and Stephanie Hardaway both of Newport, AR; Denise Wiliams of Searcy, AR; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 29 at 2 PM at Holy Ghost Academy Church of God in Christ 927 South 4th Street in Augusta with Reverend Earnest C. Wright serving as eulogist. Interment will take place at Harris Chapel Cemetery in Augusta by C.J.
