Peggy Joann Chapple

Peggy Joann Chapple, age 69, of Searcy, Arkansas, formerly of Cotton Plant, passed away on December 24, 2025, at Unity Health-White County Medical Center in Searcy.

Peggy was born on June 27, 1956, in Cotton Plant, Arkansas, to Howard Chapple Sr. and Gracie Mae Jackson. Affectionately known as "Peggy Sue" and "Jo" by her family and friends, she attended Cotton Plant High School. She was a proud member of the graduating class of 1975, where she was also honored as the most photogenic student of her class.

Peggy worked for several years as a seamstress at Farris Fashion in Brinkley and Morton Plastic in McCrory. She enjoyed sewing and often made her own clothing and outfits, sharing her talent and creativity with those around her. Peggy continued this work until her health began to decline.

Peggy was preceded in death by her children, Adam Conway Jr., and Cassandra Chapple; her parents, Howard Chapple Sr., and Gracie Mae Stallings; and her siblings, Chester Chapple and Bonnie Jackson.

Survivors are her daughter: Felicia (Jackie Sr.) Wynne of Searcy, AR.; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; brothers: Norman Jackson Sr. of Cotton Plant, AR., Chris (Cassandra) Chapple and Howard Chapple Jr. both of Fort Smith, AR.; sisters: Cear McCoy of Little Rock, AR., Bernice Chapple of Marion, AR., a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and fiends.

A visitation will be held on Friday evening January 9 from 5 until 7 PM at C.J. Williams Funeral Directors Chapel, 124 South Main Avenue in Brinkley. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, January 10 at Ash Grove Missionary Baptist Church. 114 McMurtry Street in Cotton Plant with Pastor Zay Clark serving as eulogist. Interment will take place at Morning Star Cemetery in Cotton Plant by C.J.
