Omari Ra'Juan Chapple

Omari Ra'Juan Chapple, 20 of McCrory, formerly of Cotton Plant, passed away on Saturday August 1 at Unity Health-White County Medical Center in Searcy.

"Duck" as Omari was affectionately known, was born July 7, 2006 in Searcy, Arkansas to Talisha Chapple and Tminski Rodgers.

As a child growing up in Cotton Plant, Omari would often attend church with his grandparents Carol and Dorothy Chapple, Dorothy Chapple at New Mount Zion House of Prayer.

Omari received his education from the Cotton Plant and August Public School Districts. He was a member of the 2024 graduating class of Augusta High School where he played football and participated in other extracurricular activities.

Omari was a member of the Mud Slingers Four-Wheeler Club. He enjoyed Mud Riding, hunting, fishing, and football. He was a huge Cincinnati Bengals NFL Team.

Omari was recently employed with the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department. He had previously been employed with Concrete Solutions in Fayetteville for a short period and Pizza Hut restaurant in Brinkley during his high school years.

His great grandparents Carol Chapple Sr. and Dorothy Milton Chapple preceded Omari in death.

Survivors are: his son Ja'Mari Chapple of Augusta, AR his fiancé Keiley Collins of Augusta, AR; his parents: Talisha (Brodrick Bovan) Chapple of Cotton Plant, AR; Tminski (Kenrecka) Rodgers of Jonesboro, AR; brothers: Brodrick Bovan Jr. of Cotton Plant, AR; Markell Love of Killeen, TX; Tminski Rodgers Jr. and Carmello Rodgers both of Jonesboro, AR and TyDarius Love of Little Rock, AR; sisters: Camari Bovan of Cotton Plant, AR; Markeila Rodgers of Killeen, TX; Camia Rodgers and Ta'Riyah Rodgers both of Jonesboro, AR; grandparents: Darren and Gwenda Wells Sr.; Arthur and Darnetha Rodgers Sr.; and Camille Bovan all of Cotton Plant, AR; his great grandparents: Johnnie Mae Wells and Eddie Mell both of Cotton Plant, AR; a special uncle Darren Wells Jr. II of Cotton Plant, AR; a special aunt Quenshona Wells of Cotton Plant, AR and a special great aunt; Margaret Chapple of Little Rock, AR and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday evening, August 15 from 6 PM until 8 PM at C.J. Williams Funeral Directors Chapel, 124 South Main Avenue in Brinkley. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 16 at 12 PM at the Brinkley Convention Center, 1501 Weatherby Drive in Brinkley with Elder Robert Gibbs serving as eulogist.
