Mardell Denise Dilworth, 44 of Pine Bluff, formerly of Brinkley, passed away on Monday October 20 at her home in Pine Bluff.
Mardell was born on December 30, 1980 to Freeman Dilworth and Betty McClain-Dilworth in Brinkley, Arkansas.
While growing up in Brinkley, Mardell was a faithful member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in under the Reverend Albert Parris and later Reverend William L. Word. After relocating to Pine Bluff, she became membership to Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff under the leadership of Pastor Kevin Crumpton, where she has remained for 10 years.
Mardell received her early education from the Brinkley Public School System. She was 1999 graduate of Brinkley High School. She went on to continue her education by enrolling in the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and later transferring to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff where she completed her undergraduate degree in Business Administration in 2008. She then went on to enroll in online classes at Libert University in Virginia where she completed her master's degree in business administration in 2017.
Mardell was employed as an Administrative Assistant at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff for more than 16 years. She had previously worked at the local McDonald's franchise in Brinkley for several years.
Her father Freeman Dilworth, one brother Gary Adell and one sister Fredia Nelson all preceded Mardell in death.
Survivors are, her mother Betty Dilworth of Brinkley, AR; her God daughter Blessence McCorvey of Pine Bluff, AR; her brother: Euguene (Jeanie) Jackson of North Little Rock, AR, Herbert (Ann Marie) Miller of Birmingham, AL; Freeman Eric Dilworth of Brinkley, AR; her sisters: Felicia (Ronald ) Portwine of Fort Worth, TX; Laura Jean (Albert) Boyd of Chicago, IL; Sandra "Faye" (Don) Gladney of Dallas, TX; and Paulette (the late Derrick) Hale of Millbrook, AL and a host of other families members and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday evening October 31 from 6 PM until 8 PM at C.J. Williams Funeral Directors Chapel, 124 South Main Avenue in Brinkley. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 1 at 11:00 AM at the Brinkley Convention Center, 1500 Weatherby Drive in Brinkley with Reverend Kevin Crumpton serving as eulogist. Interment will take place at Brinkley Memorial Park Cemetery in Brinkley by C.J.
