Marcus Dewayne Stigall

Marcus Dewayne Stigall, 52 of Brinkley, passed away on Sunday morning, August 23 at his home.

Marcus Dewayne Stigall, affectionately known as "Wayne" and "Pool Ball," was born on Tuesday, January 29, 1974. He was the oldest of three children born to Lee Edward Stigall and Magnolia Carter-Stigall.

Wayne received his education from the Brinkley Public Schools. He graduated from Brinkley High School in 1992.

Shortly after graduation, he proudly joined the United States Navy, beginning an important chapter of service to his country. He proudly served several years in the Navy and Navy Reserves, for which he received an honorable discharge.

After being discharged from the Navy, Wayne relocated to Jonesboro, Arkansas where he lived and worked for many years before his health deteriorated.

Wayne was employed Specialty Rice in Brinkley for several years. While living in Jonesboro he worked for Great Dane Trailer manufacturing for more than 15 years.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Lee Edward Stigall; his grandparents, Pearl Stigall, James Stigall Sr., Cleo Williams, Willie Carter, and Oddie B. Carter; and his beloved dog, Muffin.

Wayne leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Magnolia Stigall of Brinkley, AR; his siblings: Natasha Stigall of North Little Rock, AR, and Earrick (Deatrick) Stigall of Buda, TX; his nieces, Endia Stigall and Jenesis Stigall; his nephews, Eyan Stigall, Nathan McMath, and Jakobey Stigall; his bonus children; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 5 at 3:00 PM at C.J. Willimas Funeral Directors Chapel, 124 South Main Avenue in Brinkley with Reverend Lamont Swanigan serving as the eulogist. Interment will take place at Brinkley Memorial Park Cemetery in Brinkley by C.J.
