Lee Earnest Bobo

Lee Earnest Bobo, 77 of Little Rock, formerly of Holly Grove, passed away on Wednesday, July 29 at his home.

"Sugar" as Lee was affectionately known to family and friend, was born May 1, 1949 in Holly Grove, Arkansas Jame Bobo Jr. and Fannie Ola Artis-Bobo.

Lee accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Norman Chapel CME Church in Holly Grove.

Lee was raised in Holly Grove and received his education from the Holly Grove Public School District. He graduated from Holly Grove Vocational High School in 1968. He continued his education at Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in May 1973.

Lee devoted his entire professional career to the Arkansas Department of Human Services, Division of Youth Services, in Alexander, Arkansas, for more than 35 plus years. In addition to his work there, he was a licensed social worker.

His parents, James Bobo Jr. and Fannie Ola Bobo and his brothers, Gene Edward Bobo and Larry Bobo all preceded Lee in death.

Survivors are his brother William (Shirley) Bobo of Celina, TX; five sisters: Sandra Ruth Bobo of Clarendon, AR; Linda Sue (Phillip) Bobo-McLaughlin of Temple Hills, MD; Luethel Marie Bobo and Doris Jean Bobo, both of Frisco, TX; and Denise (Yullic) Bobo-Ellis of Lawton, OK He also leaves to cherish his memory, his sisters-in-law, Vernia Dean Bobo of Holly Grove, AR and Rose Bobo of Little Rock, AR along with a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday ,morning, August 8 at 9 AM at Hayes Cemetery in Holly Grove with Pastor George Cunningham serving as eulogist. Professional services provided by C.J.
