Larry Hollowell, 71 of Brinkley, passed away on Tuesday morning, October 6 at his home in Brinkley.
Larry was born July 21, 1955 in Cotton Plant, Arkansas to Leo Hollowell and Louise Hall-Hollowell.
Larry attended the Cotton Plant Public School system.
Larry attended First Assembly of God Church in Brinkley for several years before his health began to fail.
"Midget" as Larry was an affectionately known, was a long-time employee of Cla-Clif Nursing and Rehab Center, where he worked for more than 35 years before retiring. He was a hard worker and never minded going out of his way to help anyone.
Larry was formerly married to Debbie Clay.
Larry was an avid hunter and fisherman in his earlier years. He used to enjoy fishing with his daughters. He had a good sense of humor and loved to laugh and tell a few jokes. He had a loving and giving heart and would go out of his way to give anyone in need the shirt of his back. He was a man who never met a stranger and never held a grudge.
His parents Leo and Louise Holllowell; a brother Leon Hollowell and a sister Carolyn Hollowell-Caldwell all preceded Larry in death.
Survivors are: his son Ryan Hollowell of McCrory, AR; his daughters: Alicia (Bill) Prince and Kelcy Hollowell both of McCrory, AR; his grandchildren: Sarah Hill, Cody Clemons, Kyle Clemons, Kayla Bennett, Kolby Hollowell, Clay Hollowell, Mallory Hollowell, Chloe Watson, Kenton Miller and Korra Miller; brothers: Jimmy Hollowell, Timmy Hollowell and Bruce (Bonnie) Hollowell all of Brinkley, AR; his sister and caregivers Sharon (George) Hallum of Brinkley, AR and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday morning October 11 at 11 AM at Cotton Plant Cemetery Highway 306 in Cotton Plant with Reverend Fred Dover serving as eulogist.
