Larry Bobo was born on July 18, 1952 in Holly Grove, Arkansas to the James Edward and Fannie Ola Artis-Bobo.
Larry was a faithful member of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock. He was formerly a member of Normal Chapel CME Church in Holly Grove.
Larry Received his early education from the Holly Grove Public School System. He graduated from Holly Grove Vocational High School in 1970 and went on to received his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Business from Bishop College in Dallas, Texas in 1974.
Larry was united in holy matrimony to Rosie Burnett on July 17, 1992. To this union, two sons, Michael and Corey were born.
Larry held a variety of positions for government agencies in the state of Arkansas for over of 35 years. In 2020, he retired from the state as a Case Manager. He had previously been employed as a driver for Emery Worldwide Freight Services and as a supervisor for the Alexander Youth Service Center.
His son Corey Bobo, his parents James Edward Bobo and Fannie Ola Bobo and a brother Gene Edward Bobo all preceded Larry in death.
Survivors are his devoted wife Rosie Bobo of Little Rock, AR; his son Michael Burnett of Little Rock, AR; two brothers: Earnest Bobo of Little Rock, AR and William (Shirley) Bobo of Sherman, TX; five sisters: Sandra Ruth Bobo of Holly Grove, AR; Linda Sue (Phillip) Bobo-McLaughlin of Temple Hill, MD; Luethel Marie Bobo and Doris Jean Bobo both of Frisco, TX; and Denise (Yullic) Bobo-Ellis of Lawton, OK; seven brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law one being Vernia Dean Bobo of Holly Grove, AR, one aunt: Colleen Bobo-Ratliff of Carson, CA; a special friend Harold Williams of North Little Rock, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 25 at 11 AM at First Baptist Church, 156 Mimosa Drive in Holly Grove with Pastor Billy Burris officiating.
