Kenyata Audreen Roby, 49 of Brinkley, passed away on Thursday evening, October 1 in an auto accident in Brinkley.
Kenyata was born October 8, 1976 in Chicago, Illinois to Eddie Lee Roby Jr. and Jessie Lee Ewing Roby. He was the youngest of two sons born to this union.
Kenyata received his early education from the Chicago Public School System. Kindergarten through 10th grade. He attended Corliss Junior High School. He went on Newport News, Virgina to attend Homer L. Ferguson High School where he graduated with the class of 1995. He went on to pursue and earn an online associate's degree in electrical engineering.
Kenyata was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Brinkley.
"Yat" as he was affectionately known, was employed by Tradesman International as an electrician for several years. He had recently been employed with Specialty Rice. Inc in Brinkley, Arkansas.
Kenyata was an incredibly positive person, who was very family oriented. He enjoyed his dogs whom he enjoyed raising and family gatherings and events.
His maternal grandparents: Wilbur and Erma Lee Ewing and his paternal grandparents: Eddie Lee Roby Sr. and Arolee Roby all preceded Kenyata in death.
Survivors are his parents: Eddie Lee Roby Jr. of Chicago, IL and Jessie Lee Ewing Hannah of Brinkley, AR; his brother: Andre L. Ronby of Brinkley, AR; a dear friend and companion Tiffany Bond, his beloved dogs and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday evening October 10 from 5 PM until 7 PM at C.J. Williams Funeral Directors Chapel, 124 South Main Avenue in Brinkley. Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon, October 11 at 2 PM at the Brinkley Convention Center, 1501 Weatherby Drive in Brinkley with Pastor Kevin Matthews serving as eulogist. Interment will take place at Macedonia Cemetery in the Fargo Community outside of Brinkley by C.J. The pallbearers are Aaron T. Adell, David D. Roby, Donala K. Jordan, Kiata J. Roby, Sponkey Allen and Thomas Brewer.
