Kenneth Ray Miller

Kenneth Ray Miller, 68, of Little Rock, formerly of Cotton Plant, passed away on Wednesday, April 29 at his home.

Kenneth was born on October 22, 1957, in Cotton Plant, Arkansas to Robert Miller and Gustavie Walton Miller.

Affectionately known as "Kenny Ray," Kenneth received his formal education in the Cotton Plant Public School District and graduated from Cotton Plant High School in 1976.

Kenneth accepted Christ at a young age, becoming a member of Ash Grove Missionary Baptist Church. After relocating to Little Rock, Arkansas, he later joined Gaines Street Baptist Church, where he served faithfully on the Usher Board and as the Church Security Officer.

Kenneth worked as a Shipping Clerk and Laborer in the Little Rock School District for five years. He later worked for the Pulaski County Sanitation Department for four years before retiring.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Miller and Gustavie Miller, and siblings Daniel Miller, Robbie Parson, Martha June Hall, and Joyce Silverman.

He is survived by his daughter, Denashawn Bryant of Little Rock, AR; grandsons, Jeremiah Pitts and Deauntae K. Eason Jr., both of Little Rock, AR; granddaughter, Daniya Eason of Little Rock, AR; brothers, Hosea Smith of McCrory, AR, and Vernon (Sandra) Miller of Little Rock, AR; sister, Sharon Lewis Curlett of Little Rock, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 23rd, at Gaines Street Baptist Church, located at 1601 Gaines St., Little Rock. Pastor J. Barrington Minix will serve as eulogist.
