Kayla Arionne Palmer, 33 of Brinkley, passed away on Saturday, August 29 in Brinkley following a motor vehicle accident.
On Wednesday November 11, 1992 Luritha "Toney" Palmer and Roosevelt Rogers welcomed a beautiful baby girl to the world. They christened her with the name Kayla Arionne.
Kayla was a member of Anointed Temple Church of God in Christ in Brinkley for more than 3 years, where she assisted with the Youth Department.
Kayla Received her early education from the Brinkley Public School System. She received a GED from the Little Rock Job Corps.
Kayla had been employed with Taco Bell in Brinkley and Forrest City for the past 4 months. She had previously been employed with the Brinkley area Wendy's for 2 years. She had also previously received training as a Certified Nurse's Assistant and had worked as a CNA for more than 2 years.
Her father Roosevelt Rogers, two siblings: Kaleisha McNeal and Tavious Palmer; her grandparents: Dan Henry Palmer; Katherine Whitman Palmer Simons and McKinley Rogers all preceded Kayla in death.
Survivors are: her children: Kylan Dews, Kendrick Palmer, K'nedi Clemmons, K'Dee Dews, Katherine Palmer, Kameil Palmer and Ka'Raye Palmer all of Brinkley, AR; Her mother Luritha (Dezi) Bloomingburg of Forrest City, AR; her siblings: Trenterrious Stidum of Brinkley, AR; Krayene McNeal of Tulsa, OK; Tiffany Davis of Waynesboro, PA; Roosevelt Rogers Jr. of Dallas, TX; Shameka Rogers of Little Rock, AR; Tyler Hull of Jonesboro, AR; Tristin Moore of Dallas, TX; her paternal grandmother Louise Rogers of Forrest City, AR; her maternal grandfather Eddie Simons of Brinkley, AR; her godmother Karla Releford of Newport News, VA; a special friend Sharon Hall of Wynne, AR; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning, September 12 at 10 AM at Anointed Temple Church of God in Christ, 500 Broadmoor Drive in Brinkley with Elder Troy Whitman serving as eulogist. Interment will take place at St. Paul Cemetery in Moro by C.J. The pallbearers are Minister Calvin Bloomingburg, Michael Bloomingburg, Dezi Bloomingburg, Travon Mormon, Alfonso McAdoo Sr. and Gerald Swanigan.
