Jerry Lee Young 45, of Holly Grove passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024, in Little Rock, AR.
Jerry was born on October 17, 1978, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Freddie Lee Young Sr. and Marie Hardimon-Young.
Jerry received his education from the Holly Grove Public School system. He was a proud 1997 graduate of Holly Grove High School. He went on to attend Coahoma Community College in Clarksdale, Mississippi.
Jerry was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Pine City, Arkansas. He was baptized under the leadership of Reverend I.E. Holland.
Jerry or "J-Fox", as he was affectionally known was employed at Lennox Industries in Stuttgart, Arkansas for more than a year. He was formerly employed at Cormier Rice Milling Company in Dewitt, Arkansas; prior to that he was employed at Producers Rice Mill and Riceland both in Stuttgart.
His father Freddie Young Sr.; maternal grandparents: William Hardimon Sr. and Novella Hardimon and paternal grandparents: Q.Z. Young and Leola Young preceded Jerry in death.
Survivors are his mother: one son Jerrius Lebron Young (his mother Kim Polk ) of De Witt, AR; his mother Marie Young of Holly Grove, AR; brothers: Freddie Young Jr. of Memphis, TN and Calvin Young of Maumelle, AR; sisters: Joyce Young of Jacksonville, AR and KeErrica Mitchell of Memphis, TN; nephews : Karson Young, Cashun Young, Dairius Mitchell and Dari'Yon Geans; nieces: Azion Bones and Callie Young and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday June1 at 2:30 P.M. at First Baptist Church, 36 Padget Road in Pine City with Pastor Fredrick Burton officiating .
