Jerry Lewis Russell

Jerry Lewis Russell, 62 of Seattle, Washington, formerly of Augusta, passed away on Friday May 5 at his home.

Jerry was born September 22, 1960 in Augusta, Arkansas Ed Roy Russell Sr. and Lucille Moore.

While growing up in Augusta, Jerry was baptized and became a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Henry Holmes.

Jerry attended the Augusta Public School system. He received a GED while attending Job Corps in San Marcos, Texas.

After completing courses at Jobs Corps, Jerry relocated to Seattle, Washington in the early 1980's. He worked for many years as a small engine and appliance repairman. He also worked in construction for a number of years.

When Jerry was a teenager, he was very talented and in high demand in the Augusta Community when it came to fixing appliances and small engines.

His parents: Ed Roy Russell Sr. and Lucille Moore; two brothers Ed Roy Russell Jr and David Russell; and a sister Alice Russell all preceded Jerry in death.

Survivors are: three brothers: Jessie Russell and Frank (Cassandra) Haggins Jr., both of Augusta, AR; and Alex (Maria) Russell of Jacksonville, AR; two sisters: Beverly McDonald of Renton, WA; and Lue Ease (Cal) Rowe of Augusta, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday afternoon, July 29 at 4 PM at New Quiet Cemetery, Highway 33 North in Augusta with Reverend William Trice officiating by C.J.
