Jemesha LeKaye Chunn

Jamesha LaKaye Chunn, 24 of Brinkley, passed away on September 18 in Brinkley.

Mesha as Jamesha was lovingly known, was born on Friday, January 11, 2002 in Forrest City, Arkansas to George Chunn and LaToya Pearson Chunn.

Mesha received her education from the Brinkley Public School system, where she enjoyed playing basketball, cheerleading and participating in other extracurricular activities. She was 2020 graduate of Brinkley High School. She was a huge supporter of the Brinkley Tigers Basketball and Football program. After graduating high school, she went on to further her education by attending East Arkansas Community College (EACC) in Forrest City to pursue a degree in Nursing.

While growing up in Brinkley, Mesha would often attend church with her family at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in the Smale community just outside of Brinkley.

Mesha was employed as a manager at the local Brinkley McDonalds franchise for several years since teenage years.

Her maternal grandparents Andrew Williams and Estella Williams both preceded Mesha in death.

Survivors are her parents: Geroge Chunn of Brinkley, AR, LaToya Chunn of Little Rock, AR; Her paternal grandparents: Curtis and Denise Chunn of Brinkley, AR and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday evening, September 25 from 6 PM until 8 PM at C.J. Williams Funeral Directors Chapel, 124 South Main Avenue in Brinkley. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, morning September 26 at 10 AM at Mount of Olive Ministries, 1200 North Mian Street Extended in Brinkley with Apostle Willie Branch serving as eulogist. Interment will take place at Macedonia Cemetery in the Fargo Community by C.J.
