James Earl Piggee Sr.

James Earl Piggee Sr., 53 of Clarendon, passed away on Wednesday morning, November 15 at the Arkansas Hospice Center in Little Rock.

James was born August 25, 1970 in Stuttgart, Arkansas to Willie Joe Piggee Sr. and Betty Jean Harris-Piggee.

As a child growing up in Holly Grove, James and his family attended Pine Ridge Church of Christ in Blackton, Arkansas. In later years, he became a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Palmer, Arkansas.

James received his education from the Holly Grove Public School System. He was a member of the Holly Grove High School Class of 1988.

James was employed at Producers Rice Mill in Stuttgart for more than 20 years. He also did farmwork for area local farmers during harvest season. He had a great love for working the land.

His father Willie Joe Pigee Sr., his brother Alex Harris and his sister Lora Piggee all preceded James in death.

Survivors are his mother Betty Piggee of Clarendon, AR: his companion of 12 years Jammie Murry of Clarendon, AR; three sons: Jah-Beria Piggee, James Piggee both of Dallas, TX ; Semaj Piggee of Clarendon, AR; six daughters: Jasamine Piggee, Datayah Plummer, Ayanah Plummer and Dajah Piggee all of Dallas, TX; Tariyah Piggee and Kierra Murray both of Clarendon, AR; four brothers: William Piggee of Clarendon, AR; Ricky Piggee of Dallas, TX; Willie Piggee of Little Rock, AR; and Timothy (Katherine) Harris of Marvell, AR; two sisters Betty (Tom) Lee of Marvell, AR; and Gladys Piggee of Clarendon, AR; and one bonus sister, Ebony (Devez) Harris-Clark of Little Rock, AR; four stepchildren: Rachel Murray and Nikki Mayo of Clarendon, AR; Robert Knox of Jackson, MS; and Dorian Plummer of Dallas, TX. His legacy includes seven grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, afternoon November 25 at 2 PM at Kingdom Builders Ministries, 400 North Pine Street in Holly Grove with Reverend Uzziah Duncan officiating. Interment will take place at St. Mark Cemetery in Turner by C.J. Williams Funeral Directors and Cremations, 124 South Main Street of Brinkley.
