Gloria Jones

Gloria Jones, 77 of North Little Rock, formerly of Chicago, passed away on Saturday, May 17 at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock.

Gloria was born on August 12, 1947, in Conway, Arkansas to Zada B. Horton and Minnie Lee Thomas.

Gloria relocated to Chicago, Illinois with her family in 1953.

Gloria received her education from the Chicago Public Schools. She was a proud 1966 graduate of St. Michael Central High School.

Gloria was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois from 1979-1994. After relocating to Arkansas in 1994, she became a member of the Samaritan Hill Missionary Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas, where she remained until her passing.

Gloria married Henry L Jones from June 13, 1969. He preceded her in death in 2008.

Gloria was employed as a Secretary for the Internal Revenue Service for more than 22 years until she retired in 2009. She was formerly employed with Reliance Insurance Company for 6 years and Mabon and Company Brokerage Firm for 10 years both located in Chicago, Illinois.

Her husband Henry l. Jones, parents Zada B. Horton and Minnie Lee Thomas Woods proceeded Gloria in death.

Survivors ae her stepson, Zachary (Carol) Jones of Chicago, Ill; six grandchildren; a brother Alvin Eugene Woods of Chicago, IL, a sister Doris Woods of Chicago, IL.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
