Florence Ann McCoy-Frazier, 72 of Brinkley, formerly of Cotton Plant, passed away on Wednesday, August 13 in Moro.

Florence or "Flo" as she was lovingly known, was born August 5, 1953 in Cotton Plant, Arkansas to Elmo Scott and Junie B. McCoy.

Florence was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Moro, under the leadership of Reverend Leory Harper. As a child she accepted Christ as her Lord and savior and became a member of First Baptist Church-James Addition, where she was a member for many years. She has been a member of a local prayer group for many years, which she enjoyed.

Florence received her education from the Cotton Plant Public Schools.

Florence was employed as a Seamstress for Van Heusen Shirt Factor in Brinkley for more than 25 years before retiring in 1999.

Florence was the widow of the late Jimmy Frazier, whom she married November 3, 2001.

Her husband Jimmy, her parents: Elmo Scott and Junie McCoy, her siblings: Frank McCoy, Walter McCoy, Tommie McCoy Sr., and Teretha McCoy all preceded Florence in death.

Survivors are: her daughters: Stephanie (Glenn) McCoy of Little Rock, AR; Wanda Shockley of Augusta, AR; Kimberly (Earl) Young of Searcy, AR; Quinetta Shockley of North Little Rock, AR; and Tamika (Carlton Sr.) Phillips of Memphis, TN; her son Jimmy Lee (Marquitta) Frazier of Memphis, TN; 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; two brothers: Dave (Tammy) McCoy of Barlett, TX; Edward Penn of Beebe, AR; three sisters: Sarah Lee McCoy of Cotton Plant, AR; Mary Louise Hughes of Batesville, AR; Mary (Robert) Jones of Lexa, AR; her bonus daughter Lotina (Tene-Tene) Heard of Augusta, AR; her dear friends: Larry Brown of Memphis, TN; Rowena Whitfield of Augusta, AR , Jackie and Eddie Burnett of Brinkley, AR; Ruby Woods of Cotton Plant, AR and Patricia Smith of Searcy, AR, Doris (Charles) Boswell of McCrory, AR and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 23 at 2 PM at Ash Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 114 McMurtry Street in Cotton Plant with Pastor Zay Clark serving as eulogist.
