Fannie Lucille Smith

Fannie Lucille Smith, 93 of St, Louis, Missouri, formerly of Goodwin, passed away on October 6 at her home.

Lucille, as Fannie was affectionately known, was born March 15, 1931 in Goodwin, Arkansas to Jessie Smith and Mattie McKissick-Smith.

Lucille was raised and attended school in Goodwin. As a young lady she relocated to St. Louis, Missouri where she lived and worked for many years.

Lucille was a member of Mount Zion Church of God in Christ in St. Louis, Missouri for more than 45 years. During her tenure here, she served in numerous capacities within the church whenever called upon to do so.

Lucille was employed at a St. Louis area Hospital in St. Louis for many years before retiring.

He parents: Jessie and Mattie Smith; two brothers A.D. Smith and Robert Smith; two sisters Girtie Smith-Weaver and Mary Smith all preceded Fannie Lucille in death.

Survivors are: three brothers: Jessie (Mozella) Smith Jr. and Daniel Lee Smith both of St Louis, MO; and Jeff Clay Smith of Cahokia, IL; two sisters: Delores Smith of St, Louis, MO and Rilla Smith-Byest of Goodwin, AR; two sisters in law: Ester Mae Smith of Goodwin, AR; and Gloretha Smith of Forrest City, AR; and a host of Nephews, Nieces, Cousins and Friends.

Graveside services will be held in Saturday, November 2 at 2:30 PM at Goodwin Memorial Cemetery, SFC 907 Road in Goodwin with Superintendent Ransom Smith serving as Eulogist by C.J.
