Eva Delcina Jarrett-Woods

Eva Delcina Jarrett-Woods, 56, of Biscoe, formerly of Hazen, passed away on Sunday, April 27 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Stuttgart. Arkansas.

Eva was born on October 22, 1968, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Nathaniel Jarrett and Helen McGee.

Eva received her education from the Hazen High School District. She was a proud 1987 graduate of Hazen High School. She also attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where she pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.

Eva was a lifelong member of the Prairie Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Hazen.

Eva was united in holy matrimony to Julius Woods on August 10, 2012.

Eva was employed with Remington Arms Company in Lonoke, Arkansas for the past 15 years. She had previously been employed by Hazen Powdered Metals in Hazen for several years.

Her parents Nathaniel Jarrett and Helen McGee; sister Lornetta Brown; brother Dennis McGee; paternal grandmother Lucille "Big Mama" Grayson, her paternal grandfather William Lorenzo (Corrine) Jarrett; maternal grandparents: Willie McGee and Eva McGee and her mother-in-law Ruby Woods Gant all proceeded Eva in death.

Survivors are husband of 13 years Julius Woods of Biscoe, AR; one daughter: Dowanda Woods of Chicago, IL; five grandchildren; three god sons: Cedric Payne of Lonoke, AR, Keith Payne and Damion Payne both of Conway, AR; her bonus mother, Cathy Jarrett Beard of Hickory Plains, AR; two brothers: Dujuan (Laurtaneous) Jarrett of Jacksonville, AR and Howard Burks of Hazen, AR; uncles: James (Barbara) Tom of Carlisle, AR; Ronnie Grayson of Little Rock, AR; and Jackie Young of Garland, TX; an aunt Felicia Thomas of Carlisle, AR; father-in-law Kenneth Gant of Cotton Plant and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 9 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at CJ Williams Funeral Directors and Cremations, 124 S Main Street in Brinkley. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10 at 2:30 PM at the DeValls Bluff High School Auditorium, 710 East Sycamore Street in DeValls Bluff with Reverend Scipio Woods Jr. serving as eulogist.
