Ellen Louise Clark

Ellen Louise Clark, 63 of Holly Grove passed away on Saturday evening, November 29 at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock.

Ellen was born February 19, 1962 in Holly Grove, Arkansas to Thomas Cartwright Sr. and Mae Marshbanks-Cartwright.

While growing up in Holly Grove, Ellen accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Willie B. Vasser Sr. In her later years after returning to Holly Grove, she united with Kingdom Builders Ministries under the leadership of the late Apostle Scot Tyler Sr. where she served as a member of the Usher Board.

Ellen received her formal education from the Holly Grove Public School District.

"Louise," "Lou-Lou" or "Big Tossee" as Ellen was lovingly known, worked as a cook at the Marty Mart Convenience Store in Clarendon for several years, before her health began to fail her.

Ellen was united in marriage to the love of her life Richard Clark in November 2010 in Holly Grove.

Her father Thomas Cartwright Sr.; her brother Thomas Cartwright Jr., her sister Gloria Parris, and a nephew Terrell Parris all preceded Ellen in death.

Survivors are her husband Richard Clark of Holly Grove, AR; Her mother Mae Cartwright of Holly Grove, AR; daughters: Geneva Davey and Janessa Clark both of Holly Grove, AR; grandchildren: Zarraeion Davey, Allyson Hampton. Kylen Davey. Amiah Clark and Heaven Clark; Her mother Mae Cartwright of Holly Grove, AR; brothers: Ronald (Deidtra) Cartwright of Holly Grove, AR; Timothy Cartwright of Los Angeles, CA; sisters: Mary (Christopher) Hanks, Kathy Cartwright and Paulette Cartwright all of Holly Grove, AR; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday morning, December 13 at 11 AM at Kingdom Builders Ministries, 400 North Pine Street in Holly Grove with Minister Quintana Cartwright serving as eulogist.
