Earnestine Holloway, 82 of Holly Grove, passed away on Thursday, December 18 at Chambers Nursing and Rehab Center in Carlisle.
Earnestine was born on September 16, 1943 in Marvell, Arkansas to Vernice Griffin. She was raised by her maternal grandparents: Henry and Mollie Griffin.
Earnestine received her early education from the Marvell and Postelle community school districts.
Earnestine was a member of Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Roe for more than 8 years, where she served as Sunday school secretary treasurer. She had formerly been a member of New Zion Baptist Church in Marvell.
Earnestine was a longtime employee of Madison and Company Shoe Factory in Clarendon for more than 25 years before retiring.
Earnestine was married to the late Rosco Holloway in 1997.
Her husband Rosco Holloway; her parents Vernice Griffin, Henry, and Molie Griffin; and two sisters: Barbara Jean Walker and Emma Scott all preceded Earnestine in death.
Survivors are: two sons Otis Tabb of Rogers, AR and Jasper (Rosie) Tabb of Holly Grove, AR; two daughters: Bertha Tabb of Holly Grove, AR and Vivian (Eric) Norwood of Little Rock, AR; three bonus children: Tracie Holloway, Lisa Holloway and Corey Holloway; nine grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren; three brothers: Roosevelt (Dorothy) Scott and Booker T. (Andrea) Scott Jr. both of Omaha, NE Theodis Scott of Memphis, TN; four sisters: Marjorie (Gerald) Waggoner, Kathleen Scott, Lillian Scott and Mary Scott all of Omaha, NE; a special niece Ella Dunmore of Little Rock, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 28 at 2:00 PM at Kingdom Builders Ministries, 400 North Pine Street in Holly Grove with Sis. Jetthenia Glass serving as eulogist. Interment will take place at New Light Cemetery in Marvell by C.J.
