Charles Ray Collins, 65, of Hazen passed away on Friday, May 16 at his home in Hazen.
Charles was born on March 20, 1960, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Columbus Collins and Bearnell Paradise.
Charles attended high school in Hazen School District.
As a child, growing up in Hazen, Charles was a member of the Holy Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of James L. Clark.
"Ray-Ray" as Charles was affectionately known, was formerly employed with the Pulaski County Courthouse and Government Offices in Little Rock for more than three years. He spent years as a DJ, traveling across the Delta for various events. Throughout the years he held other positions with various places of work.
His father Columbus Collins proceeded Charles in death.
Survivors are his mother: Bearnell Ross of Hazen, AR; five sons: Charles Piggee of Little Rock, AR; Reginald James of Jonesboro, AR; Courtney Langhorn of Stuttgart, AR; Christopher Bryan Piggee of Dallas, TX; and Charles Ray Collins Jr of Vincent, IN; and a host of grandchildren along with a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral is on Saturday, May 31 at 3:00 PM at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 456 East Walnut Street in DeValls Bluff with Reverend Clifford Roland as the Eulogist.
