Bronson Rashad Williams, 38, of Marvell, Arkansas, formerly of Brinkley, passed away on January 8 in Marvell.
Born on January 20, 1987, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Bronson was the beloved son of Marvin Williams Sr. and Felicia Shelton. Known affectionately by his family and friends as "Big B" and "B," Bronson attended Brinkley Public Schools, where he was actively involved in football and other extracurricular activities. He graduated as part of the Brinkley High School class of 2006.
Continuing his education, Bronson attended Crowley's Ridge Technical School in Forrest City, where he studied auto body mechanics and earned his certification in 2007.
Bronson's career reflected his dedication and strong work ethic; values he developed while collaborating with his father and family on the Williams family farm in Cotton Plant. He worked as a forklift operator at Riceland Foods in Stuttgart, Arkansas, and previously held positions at Chapple Brothers Farms, the Marianna and Brinkley Police Departments, Save A Lot Food Store in Brinkley, and Arlin's Body Shop in Brinkley.
Bronson was preceded in death by his mother, Felicia Shelton; his paternal grandparents, Oliver Raymond Williams, and Allean Williams; his maternal grandmother, Dorothy "Tuta" Cade; Y.C. and Eudora Word; and his uncle, Sandy Shelton.
He is survived by his son, Bronson Williams Jr. of Marvell, Arkansas; his daughters, Arianna Williams and Brianna Williams, both of Marvell, Arkansas; and his fiancé, Ashleigh McKnight of Marvell, Arkansas. He also leaves behind his parents, Marvin and Lanie Williams Sr. of Cotton Plant, Arkansas; grandparents, William and Betty O'Neal of Marvell, Arkansas; brothers, Lamont (Dara) Tayes of Blytheville, Arkansas, and Marvin (Sherlyan) Williams Jr. of Harker Heights, Texas; sisters, Shamale Williams and Shalonda Williams, both of Brinkley, Arkansas, and Eudora (Robert Jr.) Hardin of Sherwood, Arkansas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday evening, January 17, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at C.J. Williams Funeral Directors Chapel, 911 North Main Street in Brinkley.
The funeral service will take place at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 18, at the Brinkley Convention Center in Brinkley, with Reverend Billy Simmons presiding. Interment will follow on Monday morning, January 17, at 10:00 AM at Lone Valley Cemetery, Highway 1 South in Marvell. Arrangements are entrusted to C.J.
