Anthie Marie Dawson-Jones

Anthie Marie "Tina" Dawson-Jones, 55 of Clarendon, passed away on Sunday morning November 19 at the Springs of Pinnacle Mountain & Rehab Center in Little Rock.

Anthie was born December 10, 1967 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Harry L. Dawson and Erma Jean Williams-Dawson.

Anthie received her education from the Clarendon Public School System. She was a 1986 graduate of Clarendon High School. She then went on to attend the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where she attained an Associate's Degree in Nursing.

"Tina' as Anthie was affectionately known was a member of St. Paul Church of God in Christ in Clarendon until the church closed its doors. During her early years, she and her family attended New Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church in Holly Grove.

Anthie was employed as a Cook with Bendi's Restaurant in Clarendon for more than 10 years. She was formerly employed with Bellville Shoe Company in Dewitt for more than 7 years.

Anthie was united in holy matrimony to John E. Jones in July 2018.

Her father Harry L. Dawson preceded Anthie in death.

Survivors are: Her husband of 5 years John E. Jones of Clarendon, AR; three sons: Jeremy (Tara) Dawson of Clarendon, AR; Kendrick E. (Chester) Dawson-McFadden of Little Rock, AR and Avion (Katelyn) Hampton of Stuttgart, AR; daughter Arionna D. Jones of St. Louis, MO; eight grandchildren; her mother Erma Jean Williams-Dawson of Asbury Park, NJ; two brothers: her twin Arthur Lee Dawson of Asbury Park, NJ; and David (Carmen) Dawson of Little Rock, AR; two sisters: Myra (Stanley) Stewart of Jonesboro, AR; and Terri Teresa Dawson of Clarendon, AR; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 9 at 11 AM at the Clarendon/Holly Grove School Auditorium, 320 North 7th Street in Clarendon with Pastor Sandra Johnson-Lee officiating. Interment will be private by C.J.
